The Kona Kai Resort is a spectacular waterfront getaway located on beautiful Shelter Island in the Point Loma area of San Diego only minutes from the airport and most of San Diego’s city sights and attractions. The Kona Kai is set on dramatic San Diego Bay and America’s Cup Harbor offering our guests unforgettable views of the marina or downtown San Diego. Known as San Diego’s own Hawaiian Island, Shelter Island and the Kona Kai offer a retreat from the hustle and bustle and yet is only minutes from the dynamic Gaslamp area of San Diego.

The Kona Kai Resort Hotel and Marina has a wonderful atmosphere and colorful history as a destination for travelers from around the world. The recreational features of our 11-acre bayside resort includes the Kona Kai Restaurant, an oversize pool, full service fitness club, spa, sunning beach with volleyball courts, children’s play area, bicycle rentals, water sports, boat rentals and jogging path. Spa Services Come treat yourself to a relaxing and revitalizing massage. You are welcome to use the locker room facilities, including the steam room, all conveniently located within steps of the massage rooms. Our massage professionals are fully certified and licensed. Our techniques include Swedish, Circulatory, Deep Tissue, Oriental, Sports and Passive Joint Movement Massages. We use a blend of these techniques to design a massage that meets your individual needs.
